Description of Work:
  • Project to rehabilitate old mine workings at Corrimal #2 Shaft & removal of 3km of disused powerlines to the site. Project activities incorporating;
  • Access road upgrading to allow importation & exporting of material
  • Establishment of site compound and amenities
  • Demolition & removal of existing steel & concrete structures in a controlled manner.
  • Capping & filling of the 300m deep Corrimal #2 vent shaft in line with specific methodology for spark prevention & gas containment.
  • Construction of concrete capping to shaft upon completion.
  • Remediation & landscaping of surrounding area to blend with the local contours.
  • Accessing and removal by helicopter of 3km of in accessable steel power poles from SCA catchment land & disposal.
  • Disestablishment & removal from site.
Contract Value:$860,000
