The Chameleon ZAXIS 330LC

Select Civil were the first to purchase the latest product of Hitachi's Special Applications Division, the ZAXIS 330LC - Chameleon. There are a number of special features which differentiate this piece of equipment from ordinary excavators, least of which is the 25.2 metre telescopic arm and clamshell bucket. This makes it the deepest reaching excavator in Australia. Two hydraulic extendable sections are housed inside the Outer Arm, which is connected in turn to the Boom just like a normal excavator. Another unique feature is the extendable cabin which sits on it's own telescopic mounts to give the operator an unimpeded view of the work site. Being based on a conventual excavator it will give any client much greater efficiency and versatility than any other excavating procedure, for example, crane and kibble.
