Select currently employs over 90 workers including Engineers, Plant Fitters, Office staff, Operators and Labour to maintain and carry out our projects. Select Civil's employees work under an EBA that is supported by the CFMEU, that has contributed to a relatively low turnover of staff. Many of our employees have been trained and developed within the company.
Denis Poisson is the owner of Select Civil having purchased the business early in 2001. Denis operates a substantial plant hire (wet & dry) and civil construction business based at Gretz near Paris, France. Groupe Poisson which operates over 700 major plant items maintains operations throughout Europe particularly in the Waste Industry. Denis is keenly interested in Australia and visits regularly.
Chief Operating Officer.
Eric has been the Chief Operating Officer for Groupe Poisson for over ten years. He was previously a manager at Bouygues, a major French Construction Company. Eric oversees the Australian operation.
17 years in business subsidiary management, Renaud holds an MBA in International Management and a Masters of Management in Corporate Finance from the University of Dallas, Texas. Previous long term experience in West Africa in Plant & Equipment distribution and timber industry. Renaud has been with Select Civil for 7 years.
16 years working in civil and construction projects management, including the construction of sewerage pump stations, bulk excavation & soil treatment projects, mine rehabilitation projects, waste and waste cell construction, bridge construction and roadworks. Graham successfully managed projects in Australia, South Africa and England.
Craig is a qualified heavy plant mechanic who together with his crew takes great pride in the high level of safety and plant availability he maintains for our fleet. He has over 30 years experience working with heavy plant in underground mining, construction, the forestry and waste industry. Since Craig's arrival at Select Civil in 2006 we have had the confidence to make considerable investment in tooling, equipment and personnel.
Peter has extensive knowledge of plant and equipment on major road, rail, mine and waste water development projects. His long operational experience of earthworks makes him an invaluable and respected asset to our estimators and foremen. It is this experience that our wet hire clients recognise when hiring equipment from Select Civil. Peter has been with Select Civil for 15 years.
Civil Engineer (BE Civil).
With over 15 years experience in the construction industry, Murray undertakes all facets of project management including tender preparation, contract administration (Principal and Sub-contract), work planning and design, site supervision, OHS, Environmental and QA Management. Prior to joining Select Civil, Murray spent 5 years with Cardno Forbes Rigby as a consulting engineer experiencing a wide variety of roles including construction supervision, civil and structural (heavy industry) design.
Civil Engineer (BE Civil).
Over 10 years experience in the construction industry. Chris is a valuable part of the Select team and after starting his career with Select at the South Coast Correctional Centre he has progressed within the company to manage numerous Civil projects for Select over the past couple of years. Chris is also fully trained and experienced with GPS survey technology.
Construction Supervisor since 2006.
Allen has over 10 years experience as a plumbing foreman in the Commercial Building Industry managing plumbing and drainage crews. He holds an Advanced Certificate in Plumbing Technology and a Plumbing Trade Certificate. Previous projects have included Sewerage Treatment Plants at Berry, Vincentia, Goulburn and St Georges Basin.
Victorian Operations Manager.
Hilton’s management experience in Australia & South Africa provides him with the tools to meet the demands of Select’s largest waste management contracts. Hilton overseas the placement & site management for over 1Million tonnes of waste a year at the Victorian sites. He holds a Certificate IV in Civil Construction Supervision.
